Her music explores themes of migration, cultural preservation, and identity, blending jazz, electroacoustic textures, and instant composition into modern, living folk expression.
GNÄW (FI/IR)
Gnäw, the Iranian-Finnish duo of Arash Ghasemi and Simo Hakalisto, blends Persian and Finnish folk with drone, psychedelia, and experimental electronics. Their debut album I (2021) received praise, and their latest release II continues to expand their unique, genre-defying sound, merging mystical traditions with modern exploration.
