HALLO GRONINGEN! SHARPE HEADING TO ESNS 2024

“You heard it first at ESNS!” states the renowned showcase festival and music conference Eurosonic Noorderslag. The festival’s claim is no coincidence, as over the course of four days, hundreds of emerging European artists are showcased to 40,000 visitors and industry professionals. Therefore, the SHARPE Festival won’t be missing this splendid event, nor the EFA Ceremony, along with the entire Slovak delegation.

Launched in 1986, ESNS has built an impressive history in kickstarting the international careers of artists such as Altin Gün, Arlo Parks, Dua Lipa, Hania Rani, Sigrid, Trupa Trupa, Wet Leg, and many more. The festival features numerous discussion panels, interviews, keynotes by day, and diverse music performances across 40 locations by night.

During the convention, the Music Moves Europe Awards for emerging artists and European Festival Awards ceremonies will take place. Gratefully, the SHARPE Festival is nominated in the shortlist category of EFA–Best Small Festival, alongside other great events such as Le Guess Who? Festival (NL) or Pohoda Festival (SK), which has earned nominations in three categories. The colleagues from the festival will also be a vital part of the delegation to Groningen.

Speaking of the Slovak delegation, it’s more than exciting that the Slovak independent music scene will be represented by women power. The electronic drum ‘n bass and pop duo Meowlau X Val will storm the MAAS venue stage on Thursday. Afterwards, the evening will continue with a concert by Tamara Kramar, the talented soul-pop singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, who will enchant the audience at the All Round venue.

The delegation to the Netherlands doesn’t travel empty-handed thanks to the generosity of Ryba Žilina, Lunter, and Italmarket, who provided all sorts of their great refreshments. Thanks to the promptness of Bittner printing services, we can hand out informative flyers to present the Slovak music scene and the festival.
