Emerging from Košice’s underground scene, this band is part of the new Renaissance wave of punk. Pipesh (initially a temporary name, which has stuck since their first concert) offers a refreshing break from traditional sounds.
Their debut album Maschinerie captures raw energy, blending fast tempos with lyrics that reject conformity and address societal discontent. With their second project, Smažka, they push even further, moving away from typical political chants and exploring new connections between lyrics and instrumentation.
Since 2022, their uncompromising sound and strong antifascist stance have made waves in Slovakia’s punk community, resonating with both longtime fans and newcomers. The band’s direct, unapologetic approach and unique live presence evoke the spirit of a lost ‘80s VHS. Their story continues to unfold with new music and more gigs on the horizon.
