One of the prominent figures in the Slovak music scene is Miro Gajdoš, known as MtotheG, the founder of ajlavmjuzik and a multi-faceted personality in the industry as a publisher, producer, promoter, and vinyl collector. His passion for music was ignited at an early age by his father, a former DJ, and further nurtured by his older brother Matúš, who introduced him to the diverse genres of electronic music. Together, from 2004 to 2009, they orchestrated the largest freestyle battle in Slovakia.
In the subsequent years, Miro has curated numerous events, both large and small, including Just Playin‘, Urban Art Session, and Turntablism meetings. For a period, he also co-hosted the show Bez Pózy on Rádio_FM. Additionally, Miro is credited for establishing the urban brand ArtAttack, which boasts a rich 20-year history. However, a few years ago, he shifted his focus away from active involvement in this direction to concentrate fully on his publishing house, ajlavmjuzik.
MtotheG’s admiration for J Dilla is palpable, and as a DJ/selector, he predominantly spins music from vinyl records. In his sets, he fearlessly blends tracks from local artists like Kysúc and Maťko with international electronic beats from Flako, or seamlessly transitions from Edith Piaf to rap by Ali Shaheed Muhhamed.
