Few musicians can claim such a deep-rooted presence in Leipzig’s music scene as Friedrich “Fritz” Brückner. A classically trained musician turned genre-bending producer, sound designer, and engineer, Brückner has been shaping the city’s sonic landscape for decades. From working with Yoko Ono, Modeselektor, and Get Well Soon to co-founding the German-American band White Wine, his artistic journey has been anything but conventional.
Under his moniker Modus Pitch, Brückner channels his vast experience into a strikingly fluid sound that defies categorization. His latest album is a bold fusion of jazz, new age, dub, electronic, and post-punk influences—each element carefully woven together rather than left to chance.
Beyond his own music, he runs Haunted Haus Studio and works as an engineer and sound designer at Leipzig’s Gewandhaus. Whether on stage or behind the mixing desk, Modus Pitch thrives on reinvention, proving that music has no fixed form.
