Emerging from Bratislava, Elections In The Deaftown blends indie dreampop with evolving sonic textures. After returning in 2024 with their new single “Pieseň pre duchov” (“A song for the ghosts”), the band hints at an exciting new direction.
Formed in 2015, their debut album Glue introduced a unique sound, with melancholic basslines, gritty guitars, and atmospheric keyboards. Their second EP, Minutiae, pushed their boundaries further, introducing darker, more electronic elements, as evidenced in tracks like “Awakening” and “Strangers”.
Elections In The Deaftown’s live shows have captivated audiences at major festivals such as Pohoda, Rock For People, Grape, and Waves Bratislava. They’ve also performed across Europe, including in the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and Austria. Known for crafting songs that are both energetic and introspective, the band combines straightforward rhythms, expansive guitar layers, and solid basslines to create a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. With each release, they continue to evolve, solidifying their presence on the scene once again.
