DOSS (UK) - SHARPE skip to Main Content

+++

The electronic post-punk trio from Glasgow, Scotland, composed of Sorley Mackay, Brodie Mackay, and Chilton Fawcett, offers a distinct sound characterized by robust drumbeats, heavy basslines, and witty lyricism. Initially a solo project, Doss evolved into crafting energizing sounds with gritty vocals and clever wordplay.

Their music delves into topics like gentrification, addiction, and generational trauma, embodying a strong Scottish cultural identity. Their catchy, humorous style quickly garnered an underground following, evident in their series of singles released since 2021, including “Posers,” “Redundant,” and “Lungs.”

The latest track, “King of the Castle,” precedes the debut EP, “Bootlicker,” set for release in spring 2024. Doss has captivated audiences with vibrant live performances, selling out shows across major UK cities and gracing festivals like Kelburn Garden Party and Doune the Rabbit Hole.

Doss supported renowned acts such as billy woods and Sinead O’Brien, gaining recognition on platforms like BBC Radio and The Skinny magazine. Their successful headline tour in 2023, spanning London and France, signals an exciting year ahead, promising more electrifying acts and fresh music for their expanding fan base.

“…it’s nothing short of exhilarating, and makes Doss stand out as an exciting prospect in the Scottish musical canon.” – The Skinny
