Blending deep electronic beats with atmospheric melodies, Bartek Schmidt—also known as Baasch—has carved out his own space in the Polish alternative scene. As a singer, producer, and composer, he moves between intimate songwriting and club-driven energy. His unmistakable voice ties it all together. His album “Night”, the first he recorded in Polish, earned him a Fryderyk Award, and his theatrical compositions, like the score for “Balladyna”, have also gained recognition.
His collaborations span artists like Catz ‘n Dogz, Bokka, and Zamilska, and he’s performed at major festivals, from Open’er to Sziget. Right now, he’s releasing a series of EPs that will make up his fourth studio album, featuring guests like Berlin’s Rosa Anschütz. On stage, he’s joined by longtime collaborators Robert Alabrudziński and Alek Żurowski, delivering a live experience that bridges hypnotic synth-pop and club euphoria.
