Anna’s music feels like a postcard from a dream—familiar yet unexpected, playful but deeply personal. Originally from the Czech Republic and now based in Berlin, she started writing in her native language during lockdown, drawn by a sense of homesickness and the need for more honest storytelling after feeling dissatisfied with her lyrics in English. That shift paid off. Her debut album, Pozdravy z Polepšovny, won both the Anděl and Apollo awards in 2023, and she’s since played at major festivals like SXSW, Reeperbahn, and Colours of Ostrava. She also opened for The Last Dinner Party at their sold-out headline show in Prague’s SaSaZu.
Before launching her solo career, Anna studied songwriting in Berlin, played Glastonbury with her band The Flavians, and even supported Catfish and the Bottlemen. She also runs a recording studio, L.A. Recordings, with her husband. Now, with a growing fanbase and a second album on the way in 2025, she’s proving that making music on your own terms can lead to some pretty exciting places.
