Michal Berezňák
(SHARPE / Nová Cvernovka, SK)

Michal Berezňák is a music curator & cultural manager based in Bratislava. He is the director of the cultural center at Nová Cvernovka, a cultural and creative hub for contemporary art and music, and co-founder of LALA Slovak Music Export, supporting Slovak artists in reaching international audiences.

He also leads SHARPE Music Festival & Conference — a boutique showcase event connecting emerging talent with music professionals from across Europe, featuring over 60 concerts across multiple stages each year.

With over 10 years of experience across 200+ concerts and festivals, including Pohoda Festival and Grape Festival, and productions for artists like Iron Maiden, Michal now focuses on what happens beyond the stage: how local scenes grow, collaborate, and sustain themselves in an increasingly unstable cultural environment. He is also engaged in advocating for independent culture and fair conditions for cultural institutions in Slovakia.

Speaking in: Leading Culture in Times of Instability and Chaos – Keeping the Faith | Saturday, 25 April | 16:00 – 17:00 | Club Cverna
