Raw, confessional and unafraid of emotional exposure, MEOWLAU — born Laura Jašková — steps into a new chapter with her Slovak-language solo debut KVETY, arriving in February 2026. You may already know her from Billy Barman or the project Meowlau x Val, but this release reveals her most personal work to date.
Written as a chronological reflection of 2025, KVETY maps a year marked by relationship turmoil, disillusionment and hard-earned self-awareness. Created in collaboration with producer Matej Turcer, the album moves between melancholic indie confession and sharp-edged post-punk energy. The single RUKSAK captures quiet heartbreak and emotional exhaustion, while tracks like ĎUŠA V KOŠI and NEMÁM VÝŤAH A NEMÁM ANI TEBA echo through the grey spaces of crumbling housing estates and inner-city solitude.
Everything on KVETY is drawn from lived experience — small disappointments accumulating into something impossible to ignore.
On stage, joined by bassist Kristián Foľvarský and drummer Vladoš Paška, MEOWLAU transforms vulnerability into strength, delivering songs that are intimate, intense and strikingly real.
