Balancing on the edge of alternative pop, rap, and cabaret, Hihihahaholky are a Czech performative duo blending music with absurd humour and theatrical expression. Formed by Alena Novotná and Štěpánka Todorová—who met while studying at Prague’s DAMU—the project merges concert and performance into a single, exaggerated, and self-aware experience.
Their work is defined by playful irony, sharp wordplay, and an experimental approach to rap, weaving together electronic production, jazz elements, and harder trap-influenced beats. Through alter egos and stylised narratives, they explore and subvert stereotypes of the “girl world” with both humour and critical distance.
Their debut album Pinky Winky Life (2023) marked a strong entry into the Czech experimental scene. Their upcoming release Dobrodružství Jessicy a Angie continues this direction as a concept-driven project expanding their distinctive performative language.
