Rooted in Peruvian and Brazilian heritage, GATAFIERA is a Vienna-based Latinx duo formed by queer trans artists Hoesé and Luí Matias dos Santos. Their sound blends reggaeton and baile funk with elements of drum and bass and rock, creating an intense, genre-crossing energy that pairs club-driven rhythms with emotionally charged expression.
More than a music project, GATAFIERA centers on representation, liberation, and identity, actively creating space for marginalized voices within and beyond the music scene. Their performances are immersive and confrontational, challenging norms while inviting audiences into a shared, collective experience.
Following their debut single Perreo Deculonizado (2024), which received regular airplay on FM4, they released their debut album SUDACA ATACA in 2025. Since then, they have performed across Europe, steadily building a reputation as a compelling and politically conscious live act.
