Rooted in intimate storytelling and minimalist arrangements, daniel b is a Slovak indie-folk singer-songwriter. His debut album songs of youth & innocence (2024) was shortlisted for the Radio_Head Awards in the Album and Debut of the Year categories, as well as for the Slovak folk longlist.
Centered around acoustic guitars, layered harmonies, and emotionally direct vocals, his music explores themes of love, heartbreak, solitude, and quiet self-reflection. Written, recorded, and produced independently in a lo-fi DIY approach, the album captures a raw, nostalgic atmosphere shaped by a deeply personal perspective.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Bon Iver and John Frusciante, daniel b builds a delicate yet emotionally resonant sound. Performing solo with acoustic guitar, he combines subtle audience interaction with a sincere, understated stage presence. In 2024, he brings his music to wider audiences, including festival appearances at Colours of Ostrava and FRAJ.
