Drť (SK) is an uncompromising avant-garde collective led by saxophonist and composer Miroslav Tóth, known for fusing experimental jazz, noise, poetry, and raw political urgency into an electrifying live experience. Since the release of their debut album Puntičkár (2020), the band has evolved through several lineup changes, each reshaping its sound and intensity.
Today’s formation — Zuzana Husárová (experimental vocals), Miroslav Tóth (baritone saxophone), Jan Faix (keys), and Marián Leskovský (drums), joined by vocalist and guitarist tOmo (XCES) — delivers a special live set that bridges past and present. Alongside reimagined material from the acclaimed albums Puntičkár and Minister, Drť performs high-energy “protest songs” from the EPs Oči bez bielok and Drôtenky, collaborations with Husárová that confront war, silence, and collective failure with striking honesty.
Their music is urgent and unfiltered — poetry turned into pressure, sound turned into resistance. Dense rhythms, baritone riffs, and visceral vocals create performances that feel less like concerts and more like shared acts of defiance. Drť doesn’t just play songs; they carve out space for reflection, discomfort, and necessary noise.
