A failed musician and film screenwriter who found solace in becoming (or rather presenting himself) as a versatile culture worker. Marián is the director of Flaam festival, a multi-genre festival he founded with his friends in 2014, and which has grown into one of the most well-known boutique summer festivals in Slovakia. He has gained experience as a production or stage manager at Pohoda, Sharpe, Bratislava Design Week and Dobrý Trh festivals. Since 2016, he has been working as PR manager for the Slovak branch of Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he has worked on campaigns for dozens, mostly Hollywood features. Currently, he’s the project leader of his hometown of Nitra’s candidacy for the European Capital of Culture 2026.
