Nasra A. Omar

Nasra A. Omar is a Somali/Norwegian drummer/percussionist and cultural worker based in Tromsø. She is a member of the Arts Council Norway, where she chairs the music committee for composition, production, and other music-related initiatives. In addition, she holds board positions in Music Norway, Romssa Dáiddahálla/Romsa Kunsthall, and Victoria National Jazz Scene. Nasra is also one of the founders of Tromsø World Festival, an initiative to bring global arts and cultural diversity to the North.
